ROOM PROGRAM:

A written program (fortnightly) is displayed in the room at all times. This program is flexible and will be altered to cater for the interests and needs of the children in care. The activities provided must take into account the wide age range within the room, developmental levels and observable needs. The aim of the program is to enrich your child's knowledge and experience so that they build within themselves a sense of self worth and a feeling of achievement as they work towards achieving their potential. Much of what your child learns at occasional care will not be easily measurable, even by a skilled observer such as a teacher. Any suggestions or ideas that may enhance children's experiences are welcome and will be taken into account where suitable.

A flexible daily program is as follows:

09.15am - 10.00am Settling/Indoor Play
10.00am - 11.30am Indoor/Outdoor Play (Weather Permitting)
11.15am - 11.30am Group Time - Tidying up, Story time, Washing hands
11.30am - 11.45am Snack Time
11.45am - 1.15pm Indoor/Outdoor Play (Weather Permitting) Nappy Changes Nap time if applicable

It is very important that the daily attendance book has a record of your child being signed in on arrival and signed out on departure. It is the responsibility of the person who brings your child to the centre and who picks your child up to ensure this book has been fully completed. You may also record any special comments or contact details in this book.
